You can export a PDF logbook in EASA format, in FAA format, or in two further layouts, for any date range and any selection of aircraft categories.
You can also export CSV files of your flights, your aircraft and your crew.
Exports are sent to your registered email address, so you can start one and carry on with something else.
Yes. Go to Imports in the menu and follow the steps. You can upload an Excel file (.xlsx or .xls) or a CSV file.
Download the import sheet in step 1 and fill it with your flights. It already has the columns Flight Logbook expects, so the safest route is to rearrange your old export to match it.
You can import up to 1000 flights at a time, and an account holds up to 10 000 flights in total. A longer history can be split across several files.
Nothing is saved until you have seen a preview of every flight, aircraft and crew member that will be added, so you can go back and correct the file if something looks wrong.

Yes. When you add an aircraft you pick its category and the class that belongs to it. The categories are airplane, helicopter and gyroplane, glider, airship and balloon, powered lift and powered parachute.
Simulator sessions are logged as their own entry type and are kept apart from flight time in your totals and your reports.
Yes. Beside the standard fields there are custom fields for time, takeoffs, landings, approaches, procedures and remarks.
You give them names yourself under Settings, so they can hold whatever your operation actually needs, such as NVG hours, offshore approaches, hoist cycles or line checks.
Yes, and they are two different things.
Currencies cover requirements you need to keep up: both hours based ones and event based ones, such as three landings in ninety days, on the aircraft types you choose.
Limits cover the opposite direction: a maximum number of hours within a rolling period.
Both are summarised on your dashboard, so you can see at a glance what is current and what is about to run out. Certificates work the same way: record the expiry date and the dashboard warns you two weeks ahead.
Certainly! To share your flights with another Flight Logbook user, follow these simple steps:
1. Add your buddy as crew. Make sure to include your buddy's registered email address in the Email field.
2. Have your buddy do the same. Ensure that your buddy adds you as crew and includes your registered email address.
Once you both are added to a new flight, you'll have the option to share the flight.
The flight then arrives in your buddy's account as pending. It shows up on their dashboard as a flight to receive, and it enters their logbook only once they accept it. Nothing is ever written into another pilot's logbook without their approval.
Yes, you can. To get your opening totals in place we recommend that you follow these steps:
1. Add one aircraft for each type you have flown.
2. Log one flight for each type you have flown (choosing that aircraft), with all the totals for that type.
3. Do the same for each simulator type you have flown.
Following this procedure will give you the best overview.
Only you. Every flight, aircraft and crew member belongs to one account and can only be reached from that account.
The one exception is a flight you deliberately share with a crew member, and even then it lands in their account as pending until they accept it.
Flight Logbook is completely free to use during a trial period ending 2027-01-01.
During this period we would love your feed back and your suggestions for improving the features and the functionality.
After the free trial period Flight Logbook will be affordable.
If you wish to permanently delete your Flight Logbook account along with all associated data, send an email from your registered email address to admin@flightlogbook.com.
